We celebrate Flash's first birthday 30 days early due to the marginal
weather in Santa Cruz in late October. So we're here on 9/25/2008.
We start our day with lunch at Aldo's at the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor.
A perfect day ... can we move down here?
The lighthouse shows the harbor entrance to the mariners.
What a fun day ... it just makes me smile!
Such a nice life here at the coast ... what's this ... pelicans?
I'd sure like to get in the middle of that ... I wonder if they like to play!
This looks like a nice place - some funny glare in the picture though.
Lots of beach, boats, shore birds, water, and smells we
don't have at home. I wonder what's happening in Capitola?
In Capitola, we visit Zelda's, a favorite of ours on the beach.
Let's go in and have a beverage!
There's nothing like a little mid-day Happy Hour.
We take just a quick walk around the boardwalk
as it's not the most dog-friendly area of Santa Cruz.
Surfing ... I know I could do this if I had a miniature board ...
A nice tribute ... still looking for that mini-surfboard.
OK, we've had enough fun for one day. It's time to go ... I'm hungry!
